Well as for the ad its helps pay for the show to stick around so I need to keep it in there. As for the other introductory stuff, it honestly depends on the episode how much is used. I try to cut to the chase as much as possible but I'm a long winded guy in general. Its always nice to have someone let you know when you're taking a bit long to get to the meat and or the potatoes, I'll try to cut back on thefluff and amp up the cruft in the future, but i'm making no promises. Especially with this episode. It was a big announcement to make and very important to me. I'd like to think that the people who normally might listen in to the show might be interested. Also given the normal length of the show (35-40 minutes) a 7 minute lead up would only end up being 18.8% of the show. ;-) Trust me a 25 minute show is a rare bird around here indeed. This is 28.32% of the total show. Why not just do your ad and do the show without so much talk about the talk you're going to talk about?
