I had a teacher in Middle school Mrs Harper, who tasked me with finding a quiet way to work out my nervous energy when working on a project. “Find or make a ‘fidget‘ ” she said. It has to be small, light, and silent. Now I just use whatever debris is handy. I have her to thank for the best productivity tip I ever received. Do you have a fidget?
I need to have busy hands. When I’m working on a problem or waiting to get something done I make things, i doodle, i draw constantly, not well mind you. The larger the product the more raw materials from the office landscape i seem to use. If I ever work on a huge project i might disassemble something important. For especially big projects keeping my hands busy is just enough of a distraction to clear my head and allow my mind to move forward. Think Lucky Bat from a Few Good Men.

Well as a proud owner of an Xbox 360 I had a small vested interest in the format war. But no problem, I don’t own a single next gen disk. I have been burned too many times in the format wars of the past, as I think we all are. And frankly this one seems forced. I can count on 1 hand the amount of movies i have specifically planned on and watched the extra content on. Because thats what this war seems to be about, extra space for extra content. The movie is now secondary. By the way, 3 of those 5 movies where the episodic content for Lord of the Rings, so that could possibly only count as one. The rest i couldn’t care.
At one point in time I was an amateur magician. This is mostly due to my Grandfather adding magic tricks, or “street magic” to his act as a clown… Yup that right the man I’m named for graduated from clown college at the ripe age of 67. So it is with this in mind that I post this awesome video of Andy McCasky talking to one of the presenters from PlumChoice. Not only did the man stay true to his calling as a magician but he worked the company and their message brilliantly into the act. Magic starts a couple of minutes into this.
