No Work and All Play makes Paul a Tired Guy

So the dual shot of approximately 45 inches of snow since the last broadcast has both drained my energy reserves from shoveling it and charged my batteries. The past couple of winters in good old Philadelphia have been lackluster warm and rainy events. I love snow and i love the cold so i’v been in a very tired heaven this year. This is also not the officially snowiest winter in Philadelphia history with over 60 inches of snowfall since December. Wow!

I played around with some new crufted together camera gear for a dog cam, linked on ustream, and played with some other settings on ustream to spice up the show. Norbert and I even tried to work on a cohosting thing yesterday to no avail. it will all work out in the end no worries.

New Year… New Tech, No Voice

On the 4th Anniversary of starting this show (01/09/10) I’ll be opening up a new show. Mostly doing video this show will take on one product or fun gadget and give you a rundown. Hopefully it will be entertaining, hopefully eventually might even pay for itself. But thats far down the road. Stay tuned for more information.

Jumping on the Holiday Sleigh Early this year

The holidays are continuing their relentless march towards the present, and the presents. While this time of year is usually spent covered in materialism please remember to keep everything in perspective and sometime just you is gift enough.

That aside lets ogle some spiffy gadgets, not necessarily buy. But think of this show as window shopping in the geekiest of places. We take a look at some spiffy things coming down the chimney, hear tales of a mythical Lego menorah and stare in wonderment at the bounty of links in front of us. I hope you enjoy today’s episode. All things considered this should be a Mea Culpa edition of the Podcast. Its probably going to run short because i can’t talk too long, but i did this to myself, well Bud Selig, and My internal body clock conspired against me.

Things have been better in the CaffiNation Lair, lots of stuff happening on the personal end, but nothing stops the news. We have a ton of great content literally busting at the seems for this show. I had to actually cut 4 recorded segments out of the show to get it down to 35 minutes. I find anything longer and we seem to loose people.

This episode is called the winding road because i feel that throughout the episode we traveled a great deal across the geek culture landscape from lego lights to celestial bodies, we hit all the high points of the net neutrality cat fight between google and the large carriers as well as touch on some of the great bits of minutia to surface of late. I have been put through the wringer the past week, my sleep and caffeine schedules are on opposite waves.
