Podcasting from a Cave tonight

So I’m facing a problem i haven’t had to deal with since i was 17. I’ve had a migraine for over 5 days now. Not sure whats causing it but man alive if it hasn’t affected every thing I’m trying to do.

But that little fact can’t stop the awesome news and tech we have coming for you tonight. I have a heavy does of reality and honest to goodness real news to talk about from apple running at HTC to the importance of Adopt a Newb. You’ll need to listen to find out the particulars

Where oh Where di the blog post go? Server has been down / database problems abounding for a day now, and i’m back in. Somehow this episode got deleted, but the fun thing about that is that it had been up for a day and a half before anything had happened to i am at a loos for words…

From Bleeding Glaciers to well placed products and people this show touches briefly on all the awesome bits of pop culture geek cruft and caffeinated goodness floating about the interwebs tonight!

Tonight’s show is a perfect example of why Sunday Shows simply can’t be live, but can still be awesome. I started researching the show with the idea of a bite sized version of the caffination to put up. A couple of stories here and there and early to bed. Well it wasn’t to be there was just too much awesome floating around on the interwebs to truncate the show too much.

This is shaping up to be a crazy week, with the kidlettes all gone for spring break I have a ton of stuff to get back on track. After this the crazy sprint to the end of the semester begins. Its funny how working at a university, this closely with the students, shifts your focus to the condensed timeline that students use. Either way its going to be an interesting ride.

Packaging. Johnny uses canning jars, hand labeled like all of this coffee is hand roasted. The jars do a fantastic job sealing in the aroma and need to be degassed upon receiving them. This allows the carbon dioxide off-gassed by fresh roasted coffee to escape and prevent it from flattening the taste of  the beans. This also lets you know that you are drinking very fresh coffee. No Work and All Play makes Paul a Tired Guy

So the dual shot of approximately 45 inches of snow since the last broadcast has both drained my energy reserves from shoveling it and charged my batteries. The past couple of winters in good old Philadelphia have been lackluster warm and rainy events. I love snow and i love the cold so i’v been in a very tired heaven this year. This is also not the officially snowiest winter in Philadelphia history with over 60 inches of snowfall since December. Wow!

I played around with some new crufted together camera gear for a dog cam, linked on ustream, and played with some other settings on ustream to spice up the show. Norbert and I even tried to work on a cohosting thing yesterday to no avail. it will all work out in the end no worries.

Its an HTTP Error Silly

This week has been one long error. From the moment I step foot in the door at work until my head hits the pillow at night I’ve been beset by projects and delays. One step forward and two steps back.

The start of the semester is still in full swing in my office, from fixing plotters to reimaging computers we are busy as anything. All that work during the day, all that crazy busy schedule leaves me mentally drained by the end of the everything.

As it turns out the video portion of the Cruftcast should have been a lot smoother, but i haven’t had the energy to put into making it look right. There will be an episode up by wednesday, and hopefully a much shorter duration in between thereafter. Its all in the workflow, and I’ve been doing work in audio so long that my video skills are beyond rusty
