Well i wasn’t in fact the last week leading up to the Holiday was a blur. Buildings moved at work, sling came off, arm is no longer so special. And a lot of work needed to be done. Quite frankly i was done at the end of the normal work day and didn’t write or think after i got home. Still not back to being 100 percent, I lot has gone into the news about 99, or the 1 and a whole bunch of other things on this show we only have one OWS joke, a couple of bad puns as per usual, and maybe a couple geeky references. So today, September 29th is National Coffee Day! What does that mean? Well a lot of differernt places are offering free coffee. But I’m taking a different route. I think you owe it to yourself to try and find the best coffee in your area and enjoy it. In fact take a few extra moments to savor each sip of your special brew today. If you love coffee with cream and sugar, go for it, but savor the flavour. If you happen to wander by a cafe ask the barista what they would recommend. Try something new, or go with an old favorite. Coffee is a Many splendor-ed thing… Seriously though, its the second most traded commodity in the world yet it can be enjoyed from a single farm, or you can roast your own. Drink it with friends, drink it alone, or just drink in the sweet smell. So I’ll leave you with one of the things that got this site started, my poem CoffeeBuzzing, bizzing, flying. Going blurry blinking. Bomby why so bickery? Flying through the day to fast to think. Deep elixir, magic broth. Rich earth tones of musical nonsensical symbolism. Fall Flavours: Coffee ConfectionsPosted by Paul Muller in backchannel, Food n Coffee, RecipesThe fine folks at KRUPS have passed along a couple of fun fall themed coffee recipies. Now I know not everyone likes flavoured coffee or spiced lattes but there are a large portion of people who do. I for one love fall the season, and do try to enjoy a good coffee confection now and then. My favorite part about these different recipes, was that not one used flavored coffee, but all of them turn out tasty.
Fall Pumpkin Latte Ingredients:
Preparation: In a saucepan, heat milk and pumpkin until steaming. Stir in vanilla and pumpkin spice. Put mixture in a blender, and blend for 15-20 seconds until thick and foamy. Pour into tall glass, add espresso. Top with a sprinkling of ground nutmeg. |
