I had a friend start asking me about his website and how to get it up and running a half hour later when i realized I'd been talking that long I sort of figured out I know a heck fo a lot more than i give myself credit for. And most of it has been because the fine readers and listeners at The CaffiNation have allowed me to play around with minor details of the show and the site without too many fires and riots. This past weekend was draining to say the least, but when is that not the case. Today's show has a ton of fun stuff hidden within the discussion. I tried my best to get the content out in a clear and concise manner but went over the time. We discuss robots, lego houses, planetary impacts and coffee. There are only so many times you can try to pull energy from the well by drinking coffee, i think i hit that limit a while ago at this point. But the show must go on!

As a family we found ourselves with a rare free weekend and enjoyed the heck out of it. So today's Caffination is suffering from the good kind of tired where you know you've drained your batteries, but enjoyed doing so. There is both good news and bad news for today's show however. The good news is the new dog does not like coffee, the bad news thats pretty much all the coffee news I have for the show. So this episode will lean a bit heavily on the tech side of things. It seems that a good deal of the country was out doing things these past couple of days as the overall volume of substantial news was down.

We'll be covering some current events and how they affected the tech world, Michael Jackson's passing, Iran and twitter. Silly people and conclusions, you name it we'll touch on it. But we also have plenty of time for a bit of silly news and products that happen to have made their way to my inbox as well.

The CaffiNation is also very proud to take part in the Summer of Podcasts Contest (http://www.podcastmadness.com/), and we'll be giving you the rundown on what that means in the lead into the show today.

<itunes:summary>Today's Show:Â robots, gardens, NES, Pacman, Dragon, turntables, GE, Math, Pi, Coffee, Scanwhiches, Sushi, review, TP

Tonight's episode was almost labeled The Wasteful because of the huge number of leftovers after this show was created. I simply could not cram any more awesome into the time slotted. While the podcast could theoretically go on forever we had to draw the line somewhere, and that line was here.

Instead I decided to break it down into the two most represented categories R and R is Retro and Robots, a metric ton of awesome in each subcat. Caffeinated all the way in today's show we speak of coffee as fuel for your car, fuel for your mind, and robots which tend gardens. We discuss the finery of Pacman, the majesty of Zork and the horror of modern advertising which is so cool you can't avert your eyes.

This Episode also could have been called the Birthday Super Throwdown Edition.

Happy birthday to My father in Law, My Father and My Sister!

So Please Enjoy the show and Stay Caffeinated!

The DIY (Do It Yourself) culture runs strong though this episode as i hope you can see. From Coffee controlled by electronics to crafty ways to decorate your bathroom we have a ton of wonderful content to share with you. Geeks of any stripe are often called upon to make due with less than ideal conditions, and in this economy thats a fantastic skill to have, hopefully this episode will start off the Tech in Tough Times article series correctly. Its the appetizer to a wonderful set of upcoming articles.

Its been a great weekend here at the Lair, hopefully today's high energy episode will start your week off on the right ear. We hit topics all over the spectrum but still manage to somehow stay true to the DIY spirit throughout.

Enjoy the show and Stay Caffeinated!

Today's extended show we discuss the best in tech news and caffeinated tid bits explained for everyone. No heavy handed tech just plain old fashion silly news and fun links today. I got some funny reactions to the last show so Apparently i'm either a "riot" or there was going to be one if I really switched over to an all Spanish show
