You know… I was just thinking how much I would love to be able to play retro video games (1980′s Style), and enjoy the fine atmosphere of a night out with my friends all at the same time. I’ve talk about the Barcade in Brooklyn, mostly in hushed reverential  tones. Never in my wildest dreams Had I imagined such a venue opening up in Philadelphia. But little to my knowledge one was under construction all along, and it opened up, yesterday!

Much like a Death Star, constructed in Secret (Ok secret from me, apparently other people knew all along and kept the info to themselves.) the Barcade is prepared to destroy many a productive night with enjoyable retro gaming and libations. I’m feeling… Road Trip.

So a new semester started at TU yesterday, new students, new computers and new virii. But the really big problem is the type of virii the students are bringing in these days. Downright insidious. You see now the attempt to mimic old arcade games. Currently they are attacking the city. as shown below. Beware people, there is no know cure.

This week has been rough so far. Vacation happened last week so there are so many things to ctach up on. Email, faxes, personel matters and just plain getting on a schedule again. The longer I am off from any job the later i stay up. My body naturally creeps towards a 2am bedtime. This does not work with getting up at 5am, at least not for very long anyway.
