A Night as Clear as Day!
Sponsored by Puzzle Piece Productions
You would think with as much build up the holiday season has I would have been ready for it? Well i wasn’t in fact the last week leading up to the Holiday was a blur. Buildings moved at work, sling came off, arm is no longer so special. And a lot of work needed to be done. Quite frankly i was done at the end of the normal work day and didn’t write or think after i got home.
For tonight we have a bevy of Geeky things to share, a few fun wrap ups from the past year, stuff like favorite stories, most popular posts, evil chat room antics… All of it. We have a live show once more set to go off without too many hitches. Time will only tell if all the bugs have been ironed out. We are covering everything from Steve Jobs as a doll, to Meteor showers, Coffee and coffee related stuff a plenty and a fun new graphic I have hanging in my window at work. There are a bunch of fun things to talk about so make sure you join us each week, for the Live Taping!
Did you know that the CaffiNation will be celebrating our 6 year anniversary of podcasting? 6 years as of January 9th 2011. Lots of great times and new friends over that time. People like to make resolutions right around this time every year, and I for years have scoffed at this practice, and that really didn’t help things so this year I’m trying for 1600 x 1200 as a resolution…

Everybody has played Rock’ Em Sock’ Em at least once in there life time. Personally, I prefer the red guy, also known as the Red Rocker. Now as an adult, you wouldn’t mind playing the game, but you need to have it a little more exciting. Well, the people over at Hammacher Schlemmer has given us the opportunity to enjoy such a treat, with what is called “The Bionic Bopper Cars.”
Powered by a 12-volt battery, a Honda engine, and controlled by 2 joysticks, and bumpers surrounding the bottom, these Bopper cars can last up to 5 hours worth of battle. To see these things driving down the street, although funny, would be impossible to achieve. These cars only move about 3 mph. These bouts take place in a 16′ sq. steel frame. For a price of $17,000, you could own a set of these.

First things first, Thank you for 5.5 years of podcasting, the comments and feedback, the few detractors and the tons of downloads. I have some fun stats to share on the show, The CaffiNation has been growing steadily and is only going to get better from here. And I have each one of you to thank, each person who downloaded the show even once, who participated in the contests, the fun, the hijinks, an the caffeine.
Tonight was the first show in years I have been nervous about doing. And that is a good thing. We might change a couple of things going forward, and keep a couple of other things. Video is here to stay, maybe not always in live episodes, but we will be back in video you can be assured. 500 episodes… and a gentle goodbye to long running server. Orion is decommed!

Will Wagenaar, has a gift for making art from Scrap. You can find his beautiful brand of art of at Etsy, where he goes by reclaim2fame. His creation Brenda is shown here as an evil little robot, built entirely from left over parts

He also has a fantastic assortment of other robots at his call. How awesome a job would it be to create robots all day long? For one thing you would always have friends. And on the other hand if anyone ever wronged you your friends could become your tiny little army.

This little fellow is called harry! I like Harry. WIll definitely has a heap of talent, and eye for what scrap to save. My problem is that every-time I try to make something like this it usually ends up being a pile of junk. It isn’t just what you save but how you arrange it.

My time is over for recovering now its time to get back to work. A bit of a missed show from last time was due to exhaustion from the weekend activities. I hope you enjoy today’s packed episode with tons of great stories dealing with legos, ships and caffeine it will all make sense as you listen in I promise.
Lots of interesting news items came across my desk but I culled out the weak to only deliver the strong, interesting and funny to your ears.
