I’m always looking for something to spice up the show, like a fine curry one show is never quite like the next. But after 6 years its hard to see the differences some times. I’d love for people to email in and share what they like and don’t about the show. Where should we be spending our time? What do you want to hear more about? Less About? it’s your show we just host it.
CES is happening, and I’m not there. So pay attention to people who are. Like Norbert! He and the fine folks with TPN, have all the goodies.
Tonight’s show is full of puns, a ton of in jokes and a great vibe throughout. We hit on everything from Mario to Makerbots, we touch on Star wars, Coffee, and of course lots of off beat news and happenings

The french are know for a great many refined things in the world, dainty cheeses, varied wines, and champagne. Well you can add another culinary masterpiece, with a little geek flair thrown in.
Enter, with appropriate music of course, the Darth Vader (apprently Vador in french) Burger! Actually the picture looks even more epic when you play the linked video in the back…

This is a special kind of awesome, although it needs to have three patties, just so you could say the force is strong with this one. without knowing any french I can only assume that the Sith Burger would be spicy and awesome and have lots of bacon hidden on it., while the Jedi burger is nondescript, generic Jedi. If it was an Obi Wan burger it would be pious and a little bitter, if it was a Luke burger they would have to serve it with whine.
Because let’s face it is this was a Yoda Burger it would be white castle slider small, and have Guacamole on it… And would still be more awesome than the other two Jedi burgers combined. OK that’s it I need to make my own versions of these now…

I wonder how the battle on Hoth would have turned out if the Empire had been rocking these sweet rides. No pesky flying ships trailing chains to trip up a lumbering machine.Christopher Aleria had a different idea of what a AT AT should be, and he used a Axial Rock Cralwer as the base for this one off.

Damn you George Lucas…

Why does he continue to license his products to other companies in an enticing manner. For every goofy Star Wars Toaster which burns an image of Darth Vader into a piece of bread we have a wonderful compilation like this! The Star Wars Xbox 360. 320 gig hard drive, R2D2 style paint job and a cool white kinect sensor? Oh yeah it totally has a Gold C3P0 controller. THE LED is BLUE! that right there is enough for me to throw money away. I like blue.

My one question about these bundles. For 450 dollars why don’t we ever get a second controller? I mean come on! If you have the money and the time George would love for you to give him some of the former.

This is one way to arrive to a party. Benoit and Michel Lambert, who are Belgian balloonists, built the Darth Vader balloon in 2007, with the help from Cameron Balloons. They make appearances all over the world. You can watch them as they participate in “The Great Reno Balloon Race“, from September 9 to September 11. To make it authentic, The Lamberts will sport their Stormtroopers gear to help celebrate the occasion.

Disney is set to release 4 packs of 2 Muppet / Star Wars action figures for the low low price of 18.95 per pack. Seems a bit much for me and I love Star wars and the Muppets… And their together but come on George and Henson people even this is milking the fans a bit much.
Secondly since Luke and Leia are siblings shouldn’t the Pigs be Luke and Leia? I mean what kind of Family dynamic produced a pig and a frog as children… And how would the love interest work out with Ms Piggy Ending up with Pork Solo? Bad form Muppets… Bad Form

h/t to Yeahha Many thanks!

So Disney has Star wars, the enterprising folks in the Middle Eastern nation of Jordan are trying to bring the fantasy futuristic world of the 23rd Centry to life in a larger than imagination theme park.
You’ll be able to soar in a real life space flight simulator experience the wonders of advanced technology and who knows what else. This massive sprawling complex is sure to delight Sci Fi Geeks everywhere.
With all these theme parks opening up in the middle east it makes me wish some of them would open up a bit closer to home. It isn’t that I don’t like traveling, but trying to take an expensive flight to Jordan vs driving to Sesame Place? I’ll take the traffic everyday.

May the 4th be with you! Today being Empire awareness day and all, I thought it proper to include a rather offbeat little recipe directly from the Sith Lord Himself, George Lucas. Ok there is next to no evidence the Lucas had anything to do with this recipe but we can always Hope, it wouldn’t even be a New hope. But It might just be a Phantom Menace.
The Dark Side might have cookies, and a good PR agent in Thinkgeek, but the Rebel Alliance has fought back with Wookie Cookies! While the recipe is pulled from a cookbook, which is no longer in print we can only hope that these cookies taste as fierce as Chewy looks.

But as an aside I would probably make the Wookie Cookies some sort of oatmeal cookie, just so they could you know… look like a wookie, even a slight bit. It does seem to be that these cookies are just Chocolate Chips, semi sweet, like the prequels.
One Day I hope we can witness the power of a fully operational Star Wars License, but for now we’re left with a rather disappointing substitute.

Freshly picked by the ewoks and roasted by highly trained stormtroopers, a Jedi, or a Sith, can not start his/her without a nice cup of Darkside Coffee, brought to you by ThinkGeek.com. All that is needed now is a Wookie donut.

If there is one game that would revolutionize gaming to what it is today, it would be Space Invaders. To this day, it is still one of the most popular games from when gaming began. However, there are some facts that you may not know, so let’s give some facts.
Believe it or not, Space Invaders almost had a different name. The game’s creator, Tomohiro Nishikado, originally wanted to call it “Plane Invaders.” However, because he had some problems with design, Tomohiro was looking for inspiration for some changes. At the time, Star Wars was the biggest movie that was out, and the popularity of it was growing. As soon as he knew which way to go with the idea, he needed a design. That is where H.G. Wells came in. His book, The War of the Worlds, gave Tomohiro the image he wanted. That is when Space Invaders was born.
Although There were plenty of games to play before Space Invaders, they all lacked one thing…High Score. Games would be played just for the fun of it. However, once high score was introduced, gaming became a competition. This would give the gamer a goal, get the highest score. Even today, this is considered the number one reason to continuously play the same game over and over again.
Before Space Invaders, the Atari system was selling at a good rate. However, when Space Invaders starting to sell for the home system, sales for the Atari 2600 quadrupled more than their normal rate. It is considered to be the first of many “killer apps.’
And believe it or not, Space Invaders is being considered to be made into a movie. The only problem, that I assume many see with this, is that there isn’t much of a story line behind it. Although, with how creative writers are these days, I think it would could turn out to be a must see movie.
