World’s smallest video camera

While not quite Inner Space small yet, the world’s smallest video camer measureing up to 1mm cubed is going to go into production soon. There are tons of possibilities from non invasive medical uses to replacing the side mirrors on vehicles, reducing wind drag.

With a remarkably sharp 65K  pixel  resolution this miniature camera will be cheap,  disposable  and the developer  Fraunhofer expects to start shipping in 2012.
