The Walking Dead is one of the most successful TV series today. It is so successful that its video game version that was created by Telltale Games became an instant hit too. Telltale Games, however, is more than just the zombie-inspired games. The company has also produced other fun games like Law and Order Legacies, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, and{Tales of Monkey Island.

Another exciting game that the California-based company has released is Poker Night 2, a game that is quite under the radar of many game critics because of the craze about The Walking Dead. Poker Night 2, according to Telltale’s website, is the “unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory.” If you are someone who have played poker in casinos, you will know how fun the card game is. But if you are someone who is familiar with how Telltale creates games, then you might find Poker Night more exciting.

If in the Poker Inventory, you played with a bunch of weird characters, in Poker Night 2, you will go up against some of the known video game characters like the robotic Claptrap of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands, Brock Samson from Adult Swim’s The Venture Brothers, Army of Darkness’s Ash, and Sam from the Sam & Max comic books and video games. Having these characters, with their own kind of personalities, will definitely be a riot, not to mention that the games will be hosted by the very humorous GlaDos from Valve’s Portal series. The USA Today said that “the banter between the characters is what’ll keep you coming back to the table.”

Poker games, especially the ones with something valuable at stake, commonly have a serious nature. Poker Night 2 is different, through the available characters, you will hear trash talking all around. There will be a hodgepodge of insults, funny anecdotes and inside jokes that are connected to the video games and TV cartoons that the characters are involved with. One good is example is the exchange between Brock and Sam who is a canine detective.

“I just realized you’re a dog playing poker!” Brock told Sam.

If you are tired of getting stressed out of tension-filled games on your usual platforms, then Poker Night 2 is the perfect game for you. Here, you can laugh your heart out and forget about the game at hand. You can fire shots against your co-players in the form of your chosen character.

Poker Night 2 is available only for Apple gadgets like iPhone and iPad and Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Steam (PC and Mac). You can get it on iTunes for US$5. Please note that Poker Night 2 is not a real money game and has to be given to younger gamers with proper guidance.
