New Segment Alert!

Ok we are trying something new here, picking two or three of the funnier stories from the week or the weekend and throwing down with a short article on Saturday morning. And Away we go…

Salvagers get more then they bargined for in this sordid tale of fishermen in Vietnam. Recently these blokes were told to go ahead and salvage whatever they could frm the existing WWII era wire infrastructure still laying dormant in the ports and harbors around Vietnam. These enterprising souls then proceeded to grab everything their hands could get a hold of… Including the 27 miles long fiber optic tether to Hong Kong. Thats right they literally cut the cord blacking out a significant amount of their country. All salvage ops have been cut short if you pardon then pun to the tune of a 5.8 BILLION dollar replacement cost! I was going to throw in a quip about give them an inch they take 27 miles… but i figured that would be pushing it. So until next time boys and girls…
