Shoulder Surgery Went well, but i’m not well enough to pitch a fit… get it?

This has been a long layoff, I lost a whole week there recovering from the shoulder surgery. Still not back to being 100 percent, I lot has gone into the news about 99, or the 1 and a whole bunch of other things on this show we only have one OWS joke, a couple of bad puns as per usual, and maybe a couple geeky references. I gots my arm in a sling, my heart on my sleeve and a chip on my shoulder, you know the good one. So I feel a good show was had by all.

Tonight we touch on the coffee, we hit up the Cartoons, we make fun of some activists and we have a couple of recipies to share. All in all its a good crop of stories. Please forgive the issues with today’s show one of the stories below had an add that didn’t play nicely with the caffination workstation and everything jammed up. I lost the chat room, and we thought until after the show was over that we had lost the audio as well. In fat we didn’t even record video on Ustream! Huge issues all around and we will hopefully have them fixed next timwe. But hey this is a crazy fun show with some good audience participation.

Now this is a neat design. If the Justice League were to be around during the western days, I think names like Billy the Kid and Jesse James, would have no meaning. An artist, by the name of Ten Bandits, has designed the founders of the Justice League of Americas, as if they were in the Wild West. Most impressive. Personally, I think Bryce “Black Bat” Wayne and Juan Juarez “The Mexican Manhunter” are the best looking ones.

This week has been rough so far. Vacation happened last week so there are so many things to ctach up on. Email, faxes, personel matters and just plain getting on a schedule again. The longer I am off from any job the later i stay up. My body naturally creeps towards a 2am bedtime. This does not work with getting up at 5am, at least not for very long anyway. So I’m fighting the demons of sleep this week. On Today’s show we have a bit of irony, and a tad bit of comic geekyness. Simon C Page: Hero and Villain is a beautiful work. It shows the duality of comic crime and more. One cannot exist without the other, would there have been a batman without a Joker, or a penguin.

I guess we will see with all the real life superheros trying the tights on. If we get a few really awesome villains in the mix it might be fun to watch, except real, which would be bad.  The more I see about the real life guys the more I’m struck with the early bits from The Watchmen. Lets hope this ends without a giant Squid entrance shall we. until then Catch more of Simon C Page‘s Beautiful art at his site.

It seems that no one can get a break around CaffiNation HQ, I’d like to thank everyone who sent well wishes over the various pieces of social media. Last Friday I came down with the same bug that was working its way through our house, and no it wasn’t swine flu.  So you’ll excuse me if this show is a bit more brief. Between worn out windpipes and a tattered immune system I’m not sure what I’ll be called on to fend off when the Little man comes back home from daycare or I enter work once more.
