Thanks to everyone walking with us into the year 2010. Tonights show should hopefully give you a fun glimpse back into 2009's Tech and glance forward. I know a ton of other shows have done this angle to death so we won't bore you to death. There's just too much new stuff to talk about.

Apologies ahead of time for the volume issues on this show. Talk-beds and other such nonsense got out of hand at times, and my voice being in tatters doesn't help the situation.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>With the vacation in full swing and the majority of the family visiting done by now we are slowly getting back online. For the past few days my interactions in a virtual sense were supplanted by the sharing of good old fashioned face to face Christmas cheer. As it is our custom every year we made the rounds and are now a spent people. The boy was overall very well behaved and Santa was very good to him.

On tonights show you'll hear about a few of the more awesome stories to leak through. We have a couple Holiday story holdovers to mention and we'll let you get back to your family.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. We got quite a few geek worthy gifts and stories to share. But we also have some rather fun news to share. If you don't happened to follow any other the other social media avenues that the CaffiNation Walks it may be new to you so listen in.</itunes:summary>

I made the mistake of not having the show notes up and at the ready for tonights live show which made two things happen. First it increased the overall length of the show, as I stalled waiting for pages to load. We also happened to have a ton of fantastic content. So as we wandered through the links i had set up I also found a couple winners that almost managed to sneak through.

Tonight is full of Japanese Leg Snuggies, Coffee gadgetry, Facebook Criminals, Ferrari Enzos, and so much more. Lots of fun things to keep you ears glued and your eyes peeled. Have a very merry Christmas everyone

<itunes:summary>Massive Hundred Year Blizzard! But not really that bad

You wouldn't think two feet of snow would affect a show taped, recorded and researched entirely in my basement would you? Well if you spend a good deal of the morning shoveling and the rest of the day drinking coco you might end up a might bit tired. Sitting down to research the show I soon fell fast asleep. A couple of hours later the wife woke me up, so I made lunches and went to bed.

This episode has all that content but without the yawning and bleary eyes that would otherwise have followed. I'm toying with the idea of going on Hyadis after show 394 until after the new year, so you'll need to wait until then to find out. I'd like to take the break to start ramping up for the 4oo in 4 event. The CaffiNation Podcast will turn 4 years old on January 9th, and celebrate our 400th show shortly thereafter

<itunes:summary>New setup in the Lair, CaffiNation Studios Now Showing... ME!

Tonights live show hopefully showcases a new setup for the lair, we've moved things around added better lighting to the mix and actually read a manual to figure out how to make the camera take better video! Techs don't read ladies and gentlemen, we usually know, which is why we're the worst support nightmare in the world. Usually we know just enough to be dangerous.

I've talked before about how most news is cyclical and trends definitely appear from time to time if you look for them. Well tonight you have Coffee, Legos and Star Wars. what more could any geek want? This is awesome in a can thats what it is.

<itunes:summary> The Holidays are upon us and th news continues to avalanche the feed reader

The holidays are here for some of our listeners, and a very happy Hanukkah to them. Tree day was here in our family yesterday so now there is a lovely smell of balsam in the house, a sweet pine smell than can only means a wintery mix of holiday fun and frenzy fast approaches. So what better way to celebrate a crazy season then to put together yet another off the wall episode.

Huge congrats to Todd Cochran on completing his 24hr podcast. Todd was and still is taking donations for the Ronald McDonald house. Check out www.geeknewscentral.com (http://www.geeknewscentral.com) for all the great details. Since this was such a crazy weekend i missed out on a good portion of Todd's broadcast but i'm going to be picking back through the rebroadcasts to find some fun.

Tonights live show was rather fun, and went off with a small hitch in the start of it, but overall it went smooth. i think we can keep this up on Wednesdays!

Tis the season for Zombies, I guess. for some reason they are on the tips of everyone's brain this past week, so i figured we'd put together a nice retrospective and feast upon the gory details. Top that off with a load of lovely crazy links then you have todays show. From Crossbows to Chewing gum, Tetris to Ninjas we cover anything and everything in the geek landscape.

<itunes:summary>Jumping on the Holiday Sleigh Early this year

The holidays are continuing their relentless march towards the present, and the presents. While this time of year is usually spent covered in materialism please remember to keep everything in perspective and sometime just you is gift enough.

That aside lets ogle some spiffy gadgets, not necessarily buy. But think of this show as window shopping in the geekiest of places. We take a look at some spiffy things coming down the chimney, hear tales of a mythical Lego menorah and stare in wonderment at the bounty of links in front of us. I hope you enjoy today's episode. Try to join in on the live chat next Wednesday as well! Stay tuned to twitter to find out the time.

As live shows go this one was rather nice, only problem was that i droned on much more than i wanted to. You can always watch the live version (http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2698132) for the unedited CaffiNation, complete with pretty pictures, i marked all the stories removed from the show and put them in a separate section as an FYI, but they live on in the live version.

I'm sitting here hoping that it stays this way but at this point I'm the last man standing in the house health wars. Both the wife and the boy are under the weather, but the boy is probably directly related to the sleep he is or isn't getting. Had just enough energy to put the finishing touches on the lair. only a couple more photo's to print and hang and we're good to go. Its been a long road.

In the world of technology we're fast approaching Cyber Monday, the day we are told a ton of online shopping occurs. While i detest the inflated holiday rush to spend, i'd much rather support a day where no one gets crushed under the weight of a doorbuster sale.

Today's show has a hodgepodge of crazy news but a strong retro vibe is definitely rocking the internet lately. We're frequently referencing much simpler times, the economy is forcing our hand, and is globalization of data, and content.

The news piled up something fierce this past long weekend and since i spent most of it away with family and friends i have no clue what i missed. So find something awesome send it in!

I hope we're setting the table for the feast that lay ahead of many of our listeners. And hey if you're not in the US there's no reaso you can gorge yourself at dinner on Thursday either. As an added bonus i set up the studio in the caffination lair and gave live recording this episode a try. I liked the back and forth we had twith the people in the chat. A huge thanks to @Chuckst (http://www.twitter.com/chuckst ) from Eagles Fancast (http://www.eaglesfancast.net) and the @baristaonduty (http://www.twitter.com/baristaonduty ) From Baristaonduty.com (Baristaonduty.com) for making it a fun show. I know i was broadcasting at the same time as a KISS concert on Ustream but we still managed to get a couple people stopping by.

Wednesday nights might end up being the Live show night, if i can get a schedule down i'll post it.

Update! The CaffiNation is now Live on Wednesday Nights (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/caffination-live) at 11pm Eastern*

I'm thankful for so many things this year, first and foremost my family for without their support nothing would happen here, and secondly to you the listeners, the fact that people seem to enjoy the content i throw down makes doing the next show all that much more interesting.

<itunes:summary>Apologies ahead of time for the quality of my voice today

I'm very stuffed up. Didn't think it showed as much as it did. After editing the show it sounds pretty funny if i do say so myself. think clothespin on the nose.

So the caper went down like this the wife baked cookies today, not just any cookies but chocolate chip cookies, thus starts the descent into madness around the holidays. I've been working on the lair most of the weekend including a goodly time today, so a stolen cookie is my reward. They may be being saved for a family function later on this week, but they tasted sooo good.

By the by... stolen cookies topped with uncooked cookie dough is a lesson in love... right there on your tongue, it dances. But you came to learn about tech and all other manner of fun things. I have a snippet of tech a little bit of deals and a couple morsels of caffeinated hijinks to saite you for the week.  This episode is dubbed the sneaking cookies, because that act of theft powered the show into the wee hours of the morning.

The Podcast Madness (http://www.podcastmadness.com/) continues, they're now giving away an Epson Artisan 810, on a spiffy new site no less. Well you do have to listen in to our show and the others in the mix to get you chances. Last chance to enter till November 25th

I've been slightly askew in my reading of late, so the resulting show you get is a bit more geeky and more design based than normal. I hope you enjoy these different takes on things. I also showcase a new video i made called Learning from Stupid, its exactly what it sounds like...

I make mistakes and you get to listen, laugh and hopefully learn a bit.I've been thinking about different ways to make the show more engaging and hopefully some of them will come to fruition in the short term. The first video is up in this episode, expect more to come after that, different things, some coffee tech, some lectures and talks i've done. I have a lot of things that need to be edited, i just have to make the time to do it now.Who doesn't like free stuff? Hows about free awesome stuff?
